Madeira Flower Festival 2015/Project
At Madeira Island, like at the Caribbean, the seasons go by slowly filled with colors, sounds, smells, birds and flowers.
A thousand colors is a project that represents the best of these two countries, where I spend my Summer holidays at the Caribbean and where I live the rest of the year at Madeira Island.
Madeira Flower Festival 2015/Mil Cores
A thousand colors decorate our days and our hearts of those who live in and visit Madeira Island. A thousand colors that please our eyes and our senses.
My project for the Flower Festival 2015 is inspired by the natural colors of the sky, the sea, the sun, the flowers, the butterflies and of the mountains that make me come back to the Island every time I miss home when I am away. The return is inevitable!
A thousand colors, a thousand emotions, a thousand drawings that rest inside the drawers of my memory all year round, waiting for April to come and turn these ideas into reality.
NHK/Making of/”The beautiful moment of the world”
Images from Julio Castro that followed the filming of the 60 minutes documentary called “the beautiful moment of the world” that will be transmitted at noble tv time in August at the most famous japanese tv channel.
It was for us a huge satisfaction to know this team of kind professionals that shared our joys and anxieties until the end of the show.
Dreamland panel with 500m2/Praça Povo/Funchal
The 500 m2 panel created for the Praça do Povo had as theme the Madeira Island, or to say it in better words the Madeira Island seen through my eyes.
The inspiration had origin in Max Romer’s watercolor paintings about the old Madeira of 1940, its flowers, nature and the smiles of young people from Madeira. The contagious joy of the colors of our Island have an inner beauty that we should preserve, just like we should preserve the sound of music. It is a simple question of organizing the images, to find the way in which color conserves beauty and freshness valuing the evolving space.
End of the Year Festivities 2014/Christmas Market
The aim for the Christmas Presents project is to cheer up the centre of the town during the month of December.
At Christmas we share even more some of the most beautiful things that we have in Madeira Island. Sweets, fruits, flowers, traditional hand made crafts, wine and smiles.
The joy that we give to others is the joy that we receive back to us!
The best Christmas presents are with no doubt the kindness, beauty and simpathy that the 24 “Christmas elves” receive all the visitors with! Being them the ex libris of the project
