Madeira Flower Festival 2016/Pink Ladies

Pink Ladies is a project completely dedicated to the feminine universe with all its characteristics, softness, delicacy, manifested by the colour pink, which is usually associated to women.

Pink Ladies was chosen due to women’s capacity to love, to interpret each heart beat in a meaningful way, to the ability to dance with flowers, which is a unique quality almost exclusive to us women.

The colour pink means love, sensibility and beauty. It is a colour related to the feminine world, and the Pink ladies from our group portrait such delicacy and kindness that is extremely representative of this Pink world.

It was in Mexico, where I designed the Pink Ladies project, that I fell in love with the pink flamingos. I decided to bring this beautiful animal into the flower festival parade by incorporating it into the float in a less traditional form that still expresses the project’s elegance and beauty.
